Etihad – JetBlue codeshare agreement approved by US DOT

-

The US Department of Transportation (DOT) has approved the request filed last April 8 by Etihad to display JetBlue B6 airline designator code on flights it operates between the United States and the United Arab Emirates, and any flight beyond the UAE.

This new authorization expands the previous codeshare agreement signed between the parties in 2014, which allowed JetBlue to place EY designator code in US domestic flights and international flights between the United States and third countries.

The authorization is effective immediately, provided Etihad and/or JetBlue notify the Department no later than 30 days before they begin any new codeshare service under the code-share services approved. Such notice shall identify the markets to be
served and the date on which the service will begin.
