LATAM Airlines Adds Flights to Curitiba, Reinforcing Lima Hub

-

In a new reservation system update, it has been observed that LATAM Airlines will fly between Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM), serving Lima, and Afonso Pena Airport (CWB) in Curitiba, Brazil. This would be the second international destination for the company in the Brazilian city.

According to the Cirium platform, the service will begin on December 2, 2024 with three weekly flights operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity for 174 passengers, offering 1,044 seats per week.

This will allow the city of Paraná to access a new LATAM connection hub, including destinations in Ecuador, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, or the United States, as well as within Peru.

On the other hand, LATAM increases its offer of destinations between Brazil and Peru, by connecting Lima with Brasilia (BSB), São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU), Rio de Janeiro/Galeão (GIG), and Porto Alegre (POA), the latter suspended due to the airport’s flooding.

Afonso Pena International Airport, before the pandemic, had little international connectivity, with only Aerolíneas Argentinas and Paranair flying from Buenos Aires and Asunción, respectively.
