American Airlines touches down in the South of France with nonstop flights to Nice

American Airlines continues to boost its transatlantic network from Philadelphia International Airport with the start of service to Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport, the carrier’s second destination in France. This route allows travelers to explore the French Riviera and Cannes, expanding the company’s offerings to Mediterranean destinations.

Flight AA746 was operated on a Boeing 787 registered as N822AN. The aircraft took off from Philadelphia International Airport at 21:21 local time and landed at Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport at 10:38 the following day, after seven hours and 17 minutes.

With the arrival of American, Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport will be served by all three major U.S. carriers. Nice’s transatlantic offering also has flights to New York JFK, Newark, Atlanta and Montreal.

The Philadelphia hub is American’s gateway to Europe, and we are proud of the pivotal role we play in connecting customers from across the United States to 14 European destinations this summer. Our inaugural service to Nice is the first of three new transatlantic routes launching from PHL this year, reinforcing our commitment to the region and to building the best network in the world,” said Lakshman Amaranayaka, American’s PHL Hub Vice President of Operations.
