Finnair boosts Japan, US and Norway for its 2025 summer season

Finnair has unveiled some updates to its summer 2025 schedule. In Japan, more flights were added to Tokyo-Narita, reaching daily operation. Tokyo Haneda will also have daily services, offering two flights to the Japanese capital. In addition, Nagoya will get a third weekly flight.

Finnair is also adding a new destination in northern Norway’s Kirkenes, starting with the 2025 summer season. The airline will fly to Kirkenes from Helsinki via Ivalo three times a week with a 68-seat ATR aircraft.

The new route will cater to Finnish and international travelers who wish to visit Northern Norway and Finnish Lapland and experience, for example, the famous Hurtigruten cruise ship sailing to and from Kirkenes.

«We are delighted to introduce a destination that further strengthens our already extensive network in the Arctic region. The new route enables a seamless connection for customers traveling to northern Norway, making it quick and easy to reach the destination from Helsinki,» said Ole Orvér, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer.

Finnair will add flights to Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius in the Baltic countries by summer 2025. Tallinn and Riga will have five additional flights, and Vilnius will have two.

Finnair also updated its 2024 winter schedule, adding more flights to Dallas, making it a year-round daily service. Finnair’s services to Dallas provide seamless connections to American Airlines’ extensive network from its main hub.
