Condor took delivery of its first Airbus A320neo

Condor continues to modernize its short- and medium-haul fleet with the delivery of its first Airbus A320neo on lease from Avolon. The German leisure airline is also renewing its long-haul fleet with Airbus A330neo. By operating aircraft from the A320 and A330neo families, Condor will benefit from the common advantages between these two aircraft families.

The A320neo with registration D-ANCZ took off from the Airbus plant in Toulouse, France at 14:33 local time and landed at Frankfurt International Airport at 16:02. Condor is due to take delivery of 14 additional Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Condor has operated the A320 family in its short- and medium-haul markets for more than two decades. With the addition of the A320neo, Condor benefits from the additional advantages of efficiency and comfort.

The new A320neo fleet will be powered by Pratt & Whitney engines and will provide passengers with optimum comfort with Airbus’ unique Airspace cabin. By the end of March 2024, the A320neo family has won more than 10,000 orders for more than 130 aircraft,

Thanks to modern engines and optimized aerodynamics, the A320 family models decrease fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions by at least 20% compared to previous-generation aircraft and reduce noise by 50%. Since their introduction into service in 2016, Airbus has delivered more than 3,000 A320neo family aircraft.
