Air France to begin cabin refurbishment on Embraer 190 aircraft

Air France will soon begin renovating the cabin of its Embraer 190 aircraft operated by its regional subsidiary HOP! as the company continues to improve its offer and services on its short- and medium-haul network.

To develop the aircraft seat, Air France collaborated with Expliseat, an innovative French manufacturer of carbon fiber and titanium seats, to create a lightweight and durable design, while increasing comfort, robustness and functionality. They will be manufactured and assembled in Angers, France, and are tailored to the company’s needs. The overall harmony of the cabin will also be transformed with Air France colors, from the aircraft bulkheads to the carpets.

HOP! repair center began work on the cabin upgrade of the Embraer 190 in Clermont-Ferrand after the summer. The first refurbished aircraft will take off in the fall of 2024.

These state-of-the-art seats will maintain the high level of comfort offered by the Airbus A220, the core aircraft of Air France’s short- and medium-haul fleet. They will be presented exclusively at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany, May 28-30, an event that brings together aviation professionals to discuss innovations in cabin fittings.
