Volaris cancel flights between Cancun and Bogota

Volaris has filed with the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia the suspension of the Cancun – Bogota – Cancun route from February 13, 2024 to February 12, 2025, the company will continue to operate from Mexico City to the Colombian capital.

According to Aerocivil statistics, Volaris Mexico from January to November 2023 mobilized 180,677 passengers between Colombia and Mexico. With the departure of Volaris, Avianca and Viva Aerobus would be left operating this route throughout the year, besides Wingo’s seasonal service,

Mexico is one of the most visited international destinations by Colombians; in 2023, 493,881 passengers flew between Bogota and Cancun, Volaris Mexico represented 18.56% of the share of this segment,
