Volaris added two new Airbus A321neo aircraft

Volaris has received two Airbus A321neo directly from the factory, increasing its total fleet to 132 aircraft, solidifying its position as the company with the youngest and most modern fleet in the region.

The aircraft, registered as XA-VUH and XA-VUI, arrived in Mexico on January 9th and February 15th, respectively. These new aircraft have the capacity to carry up to 239 passengers in a single class.

Throughout 2023, Volaris received ten Airbus A321neo, and in the first months of 2024, it has already added two more aircraft and expects the arrival of two others, one of them registered as XA-VUJ.

In the Mexican market, Volaris is the second largest airline, with a fleet of 123 aircraft, surpassed only by Aeroméxico, which has 146 aircraft, followed by VivaAerobus with 97.

Adding the fleets of the subsidiaries that the company owns in Costa Rica and El Salvador, its global fleet reaches 132 aircraft, with an average age of 5.9 years.

In 2023, Volaris transported 33.49 million passengers, representing an increase of 7.9% compared to the same period in 2022. The breakdown of the national and international markets revealed a modest growth of 3.5% in the former and a substantial growth of 26.3% in the latter.
