The Peruvian Air Force MRO Service (SEMAN) will Maintain GOL’s Boeing 737s

-

SEMAN Maintenance Service, a division of the Peruvian Air Force (FAP), was chosen by GOL Linhas Aéreas to carry out the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) service for the airline’s Boeing 737 Next Generation fleet.

After winning an international selection process, SEMAN will perform major maintenance on thirteen GOL aircraft this year. It is planned that the first aircraft will enter the facilities during the first week of March. This achievement solidifies SEMAN in the international MRO market, establishing it as an important option in the region.

SEMAN Peru, one of the main MROs in the region

SEMAN Peru is a state-owned private law company, attached to the Defense Sector, focused on the development of the aerospace industry in Peru. In addition to providing technical support for the maintenance of Peruvian Air Force aircraft, it also operates as an aircraft maintenance and repair station (MRO).

Repair and maintenance work is carried out in “Hangar 3001”, located at Air Group N°8 in Callao, which was recently remodeled to serve as the “Additional Fixed Unit of Callao” for SEMAN Peru, previously known as the SEMAN-Callao Satellite Station. Opened in 2007, this hangar has the capacity for a Boeing 767 or two smaller aircraft such as the Boeing 737 or the CRJ. There are medium-term plans to upgrade these facilities for aircraft like the Airbus A330 or the Boeing 787.

Last year, SEMAN received approval from the relevant authorities to repair Mitsubishi CRJ-900 models (formerly Bombardier) with the arrival of two aircraft from Mesa Airlines operated by United Express.

Currently, the company provides maintenance for Boeing 727 Series 100/200, Boeing 737 Classic and Next Generation Series, Boeing 767 (all versions), DC-10 Series 15/30, Lockheed L-382, and Mitsubishi CRJ 700/800/900.
