Etihad Airways will be adding additional flights to key destinations in the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent to meet growing travel demand. This increase will allow the carrier to offer 27% more weekly flights than last summer.
The airline is increasing its flights from Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Amman in Jordan, Beirut in Lebanon, Colombo in Sri Lanka, Kolkata, and Bangalore in India.
The additional services optimize Etihad’s expansion of flights and frequencies to strengthen the global reach of the Abu Dhabi hub by providing more flexible travel options for its customers.
«These latest flight increases, coupled with our convenient and seamless connections in Abu Dhabi and our growing global network, offer our customers more opportunities to fly where they want to go at a time that suits them,» said Arik De, Etihad’s Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer.
Scheduling increases
- Jeddah will increase from 21 to 28 weekly flights from March 15.
- Riyadh will increase from 21 to 28 weekly flights from March 15.
- Amman will increase from 7 to 11 weekly flights as of June 15.
- Beirut will increase from 5 to 7 weekly flights as of June 15.
- Colombo will increase from 14 to 17 weekly flights as of June 15.
- Calcutta will increase from 7 to 8 weekly flights as of June 15.
- Bangalore will increase from 14 to 17 weekly flights as of June 15.
