Etihad Airways and Air Serbia have signed a strategic bilateral codeshare agreement aimed at enhancing multi-destination connectivity for customers of both airlines.
The partnership will provide Etihad Airways customers with easy access to 12 destinations in Southeastern Europe through Air Serbia’s Belgrade hub, adding nine new destinations to the Emirati carrier’s expanded network,
The codeshare agreement simplifies the travel experience for customers, allowing them to make a single booking and seamless check-in, while increasing convenience by easily transporting their luggage to their destination.
«This partnership further expands our codeshare network and provides our guests with convenient access to 12 of Air Serbia’s leisure and business destinations, including Belgrade, Bucharest, Budapest, Thessaloniki, Tirana, Skopje and Sofia,» said Jurriaan Stelder, Etihad’s Vice President of Alliances and Industry Affairs.
«By joining forces with Etihad we expand the scope of our services, offering our passengers a wider range of destinations and connectivity options,» said Boško Rupić, Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer of Air Serbia.
Etihad Airways customers have easy access to the Air Serbia network, which they can connect to from Etihad’s gateways in Athens, Milan, Rome, and Vienna.
Etihad Guest is an airline loyalty program that allows members to earn or redeem Etihad Guest miles on the Etihad Airways and Air Serbia networks and enjoy tier benefits.
The new codeshare will become operational on January 30, 2024, for flights from February 3, 2024.
