Through a statement issued on X (formerly known as Twitter), the Ministry of Infrastructure announced a drastic reduction in the managerial structure of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
According to the communication, «In line with the policies of State reduction and fiscal savings established by the National Government, the Ministry of Infrastructure, headed by Guillermo Ferraro, informs that it has decided to cut by 43% the number of directorates of the state-owned company Aerolíneas Argentinas, compared to those existing in December 2023.»
The communication continues, stating that «the decision has also been made to reduce by 35% the direct reports to the general management of the company. As a result of these measures, Aerolíneas Argentinas will go from 14 directorates to 8 and from 17 direct reports to 11, as part of its rationalization plan.»
«To provide the company with greater functionality, the eight directorates that will now form the new organic structure of Aerolíneas Argentinas will be: Press and Institutional Relations, Legal Affairs, Economic and Financial, Commercial, Human Resources, Technical and Fleet, Operations Coordination and Air Policy and Corporate Services«, it adds.
The document concludes by stating, «In this way, the National Government is advancing with the promised measures of reduction and efficiency in public spending, one of the main objectives of the management led by President Javier Milei.»
