«Despite having had the Juliaca airport closed for almost 4 months we have managed to exceed the flow of passengers compared to 2019, prepandemic year. We carried out 27,698 operations: commercial flights, cargo, and other specials, which represents a 7% growth compared to 2022.» said Carlos Antonioli, Operations Manager of AAP.

AAP recorded that Arequipa was the city with the highest number of visitors in 2023 with 2,001,084, followed by Tacna with 557,625, Ayacucho with 356,987, Juliaca with 353,625 and Puerto Maldonado with 328,182. In addition, 4,720 kilograms of cargo were mobilized, an 18% increase over 2022.

«Our team continues to work to offer a high-quality airport service that allows for an increase in the flow of visitors to the regions, facilitating the development of tourism and other economic activities that favor the development of the southern regions. Always with the commitment of work and service to our passengers and the entire airport community,» said Carlos Antonioli.
