Aeromexico boosts Monterrey’s international connectivity

Aeromexico, in partnership with Delta Air Lines, adds a new daily service between Monterrey and Atlanta. This route is part of the Mexican airline’s expansion by adding more than a dozen new services to the United States.

On January 8, flight AM978 took off from Mariano Escobedo International Airport at 08:56 local time and landed at Mariano Escobedo International Airport at 12:01, after two hours and five minutes.

The two airlines will offer 3,510 seats per week on this route. Aeromexico and Delta connect Monterrey with Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York JFK, and Salt Lake City, and both carriers continue to strengthen Nuevo Leon’s international connectivity.

Flight schedule between Monterrey and Atlanta

  • Monterrey – Atlanta Flight AM 978 MTY 08:39 – ATL 12:20 daily flights.
  • Atlanta – Monterrey Flight AM 979 ATL 15:15 – MTY 17:49 daily flights.

Aeromexico Connect will operate the route on Embraer E190 aircraft with a capacity of 99 seats in two classes (11 Business Class/88 Economy). Customers can access Delta’s extensive network of Atlanta destinations.

According to reports from OMA Aeropuertos, 1,849,658 international passengers were handled at Mariano Escobedo International Airport in 2023, representing an increase of 32% compared to last year’s levels.
