The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has announced a significant expansion of its TSA PreCheck® program. The latest airlines to join are Norse Atlantic Airways, Lynx Air, Starlux Airlines, and Fiji Airways, raising the number of participating carriers to 94, both domestic and international.
Benefits of TSA PreCheck
TSA PreCheck offers an expedited screening process for low-risk travelers. This program is now accessible at over 200 U.S. airports, providing a more efficient and secure screening experience. Passengers in TSA PreCheck lanes can enjoy the convenience of not removing shoes, belts, and light jackets, and can keep laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, and food in their carry-on bags. Remarkably, 99% of TSA PreCheck passengers experience wait times of less than 10 minutes.

U.S. citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent residents are eligible for TSA PreCheck. The enrollment process is straightforward: visit tsa.gov/precheck, select an enrollment provider, complete an online application, and schedule a brief in-person appointment. Most applicants

Once approved, travelers receive a unique “Known Traveler Number” (KTN) that, when added to an airline reservation, makes them eligible to use TSA PreCheck lanes at security checkpoints nationwide when traveling on any of the participating airlines. Most new enrollees receive a KTN within three to five days.
