Emirates Debuts Premium Economy Cabin in South America

-

This Monday (11), Emirates started flying daily to Sao Paulo with its Airbus A380s equipped with the Premium Economy cabin, marking the debut of this service in South America.

Emirates had incorporated the Premium Economy cabin in August 2022 as part of a fleet modernization program that includes refurbishing the interiors of nearly 70 A380s and about fifty Boeing 777s.

«It is an honor for us to celebrate the launch of Emirates Premium Economy in Brazil. We are the only airline offering the Premium Economy experience on direct flights between Sao Paulo and the Middle East, and this is part of our commitment to offering customers more choices when planning their trips,» said Stephane Perard, Emirates Country Manager for Brazil and Argentina.

João Pita, Commercial Director of Guarulhos International Airport, said, «The experience of flying in Premium Economy is increasingly winning over travelers. It’s an important offering for long-haul flights, especially in markets with a significant segment of corporate travelers and public preferring premium journeys, like in Sao Paulo. The arrival of this new Emirates Premium Economy offering to the Brazilian market will make the onboard passenger experience even better.»

Sao Paulo is the thirteenth city where Emirates offers the Premium Economy cabin (three times a week since November 19 and now daily). Tokyo-Narita will be added on December 20.

The Premium Economy seats are located at the front of the main deck, with 56 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration. This complements 338 seats in Economy, 76 in Business, and 14 in First.

Emirates’ offerings in South America are complemented by four weekly flights to Buenos Aires (with a stopover in Rio de Janeiro) operated with Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.
