Finnair presents its schedule for 2024 by reactivating a non-stop service to Japan and increasing frequencies on several European routes. The schedule also features increased services to the British Isles, Iceland, Portugal and the Canary Islands.
In Japan, the Helsinki-Nagoya route resumes on 30 May 2024 with twice weekly flights operated on Airbus A350-900s, complemented by operations to Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita and Osaka-Kansai.
“We are delighted to resume our connection to Nagoya, where we were flying before the pandemic. We already fly to Tokyo Haneda and Narita, as well as Osaka. In the 2024 summer season, we will have a total of twenty weekly frequencies to Japan,” said Ole Orvér, Finnair’s chief commercial officer.
From October 2024, Finnair will have charter services to Faro, Portugal with two flights a week and Lanzarote, Spain with three flights a week.
The airline will introduce widebody aircraft on several leisure routes: the service to Dubai will have three additional flights on Airbus A330-300s and flights to Las Palmas will be operated on Airbus A350-900s.
“We will also have a very attractive leisure offering to popular holiday destinations for the 2024 winter season,” continues Orvér.
Finnair will also increase services to Manchester from 9 to 14 flights a week, Dublin from 7 to 9 times a week and Edinburgh from 4 to 6 flights a week. Customers will be able to connect to other destinations in Finland, Scandinavia and Japan. In Iceland, Finnair will add three weekly frequencies to the Helsinki-Reykjavík route.
