Aerus inaugurates three new routes in Mexico

-

Aerus, the new Mexican connecting airline based in Monterrey, announced the opening of three new routes. The company will operate flights from Monterrey to Torreón and San Luis Potosí, as well as from Veracruz to Ciudad del Carmen.

Currently, the airline has a fleet of three Cessna Grand Caravan EX, with plans to add two more planes before the end of 2023 and another two in March 2024. All aircraft are directly supplied by Textron Aviation.

New Routes from Monterrey

With these two new flights to Torreón and San Luis Potosí, Aerus aims to establish itself as a key source of air connectivity in the northern region of Mexico.

The Monterrey-Torreon route will have six weekly flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. In contrast, the connection between Monterrey and San Luis Potosí will have a daily flight.

«Aerus has an ambitious short, medium, and long-term expansion plan, and we are coordinating the opening of new routes in the country. With the launch of these two new routes, we solidify ourselves as the regional airline of Mexico,» stated Aerus General Director, Javier Herrera.

The Secretary of Tourism of Nuevo León, Maricarmen Martínez Villarreal, commented: «We are delighted to celebrate the expansion of Aerus and the opening of these new routes connecting Monterrey with Torreón and San Luis Potosí. This achievement consolidates Nuevo León as a hub for air interconnection in northern Mexico and southern Texas. The opening of these routes not only strengthens connectivity in our region but also drives economic, tourist, and social development.»

«We thank Aerus for their ongoing commitment to service excellence and for contributing significantly to the growth and prosperity of Nuevo León,» added Villarreal.

Connection between Veracruz and Ciudad del Carmen

Starting from November 28, Aerus will initiate direct flights between Ciudad del Carmen and Veracruz. This new route reinforces the airline’s commitment to providing safe, fast, and comfortable regional air transport.

The route will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing from Veracruz at 9:05 (local time) and returning from Ciudad del Carmen at 11:40.
