Vienna Airport schedules 160 destinations for the 2023/2024 winter season

Vienna International Airport will offer 160 destinations for the 2023/2024 winter season. The offer includes an extensive network of sunny, winter and city destinations.

Austrian Airlines has a network of 86 destinations including new services to Rovaniemi and Kittlä in Finnish Lapland and Seville in Spain, as well as seasonal flights to popular vacation spots such as the Maldives, Mauritius and Cancun. Ryanair has added Treviso and Warsaw to its schedule from Vienna, bringing its destination offering to 55. Two weeks ago, Aeroitalia launched flights between Ancona and Vienna.

Wizz Air will have a schedule of 27 destinations including the launch of services to Bilbao and Hurghada. Jet2.com will resume operations to Viene with seasonal services from Manchester and Birmingham starting in November. In the intercontinental market, Air China, Etihad Airways, Ethiopian Airlines and Qatar Airways will increase their frequencies and seat capacity.

Austrian Airlines offers 86 destinations

Austrian will offer a wide range of winter holiday destinations such as Rovaniemi and Kittlä to meet strong demand to winter regions, and the schedule is complemented by a sunny destination to Seville, Spain. The airline’s intercontinental network will have year-round service to Chicago O’Hare, New York JFK, Newark, Washington-Dulles, Montreal, Shanghai and Bangkok.

Ryanair base in Vienna

Ryanair is based on 18 aircraft and offers a network of 55 destinations by winter 2023/2024, including an increase of 20 connecting flights. The low-cost airline will be providing more flights to Malta, Milan and London.

Wizz Air base in Vienna

Since June, Wizz Air has based six Airbus A321neo aircraft at Vienna Airport. In total, the low-cost carrier will fly to 27 destinations from Austria this winter, extending year-round services to Bilbao and Hurghada.

New airlines

Aeroitalia launched on October 1 a nonstop connection between Ancona and Vienna with twice-weekly flights operated on ATR-72s. Jet2.com will reactivate its operation from Manchester and Birmingham starting in November. In addition, Vienna airport welcomed the arrival of Azerbaijan Airlines in May with a service from Baku and Air Cairo started flights from Marsa Alam in March.

Intercontinental expansion

Air China will be increasing its seating capacity by operating the 312-seat Airbus A350-900. Etihad Airways will have daily flights from Abu Dhabi and Ethiopian Airlines will fly daily, including a stopover to Copenhagen four times a week. In addition, Qatar Airways will have two daily flights during the winter.
