Venezuela: Estelar inaugurates flights to San Antonio del Táchira

-

On October 2, Estelar expands its domestic operations with the start of its non-stop flights between Caracas and San Antonio del Táchira. This new service is part of the growth of air routes promoted by government entities through the Gran Misión Transporte Venezuela.

Flight ES 8301 was operated in a Boeing 737-300 and 122 passengers arrived. The aircraft took off at approximately 7:10 local time from Maiquetia International Airport and landed at approximately 8:30 at General Juan Vicente Gomez Airport.

This new connection will strengthen the Colombian-Venezuelan border market by providing a greater connection to travelers, allowing the economic and tourism sector of the Andean region to be boosted by facilitating the transportation of passengers and goods. In addition, this route will offer a more convenient way to reach Cúcuta (Colombia), which is approximately ten minutes from the terminal to the Simón Bolívar international port, where the immigration control point is located.

Flight schedule between Caracas and Santo Antonio del Táchira

  • Caracas – Santo Antonio del Táchira Flight ES 8301 CCS 07:00 – SVZ 08:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • Santo Antonio del Táchira – Caracas Flight ES 8302 SVZ 09:30 – CCS 11:00 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The route will be operated in Boeing 737 aircraft and fares are available from $190 round trip. Estelar’s Andean network also includes services to El Vigía (twice weekly flights) and San Domingo del Táchira (daily flights), all scheduled from Caracas.

«Good news in terms of domestic air connection! From the airport of San Antonio del Táchira, the second inaugural flight from the capital was received this October 2 and will have three weekly frequencies, adding to the connectivity window to the Venezuelan Andes«, said Ramón Celestino Velásquez Araguayán, Minister of People’s Power for Transportation.

This flight follows the reactivation of the air bridge of San Antonio del Táchira, in the border municipality of Bolívar, which had been without commercial air services for more than 11 years. Currently, Conviasa offers a connection between Caracas and General Juan Vicente Gómez Airport with two weekly flights. In addition, a route between Porlamar and San Antonio del Táchira is expected to be scheduled in the next few weeks.
