Santo Ângelo Airport celebrates one year of flights to Sao Paulo

This week, the city of Santo Ângelo celebrates a significant milestone: one year of successful direct flight operations linking the region to Sao Paulo. What began as a promise of connectivity now stands out as a watershed for regional development.

Since the launch of direct flights between Sepé Tiaraju Regional Airport and Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo, the transformations have been remarkable. The region, once outside the national logistics circuit, has now become a strategic point for air transportation, shortening distances and boosting tourism and business.

The flight, operated by GOL Linhas Aéreas with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, has not only brought convenience to passengers, but also a new dynamic to the economy. Easy access to São Paulo, one of GOL’s main hubs, has opened doors to more than 35 national and international destinations, strengthening commercial and tourist connections.
