Finnair set to renew the cabins of its fleet of its Embraer 190 fleet

Finnair will modernize the cabins of its Embraer 190 aircraft over the next few years. The refurbishment will provide the Embraer fleet with a more comfortable and pleasant interior similar to the cabin of Finnair’s previously refurbished widebody aircraft.

«We want to improve travel comfort and offer our customers a high-quality travel experience across our route network. We will bring similar elements and feel to our Embraer fleet as we have used on our previously redesigned Airbus widebody aircraft,» says Ole Orvér, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer.

The cabin upgrade will begin during 2024-2025. The first aircraft with new interiors are estimated to operate by the end of 2024.

Embraer aircraft operate Finnair’s domestic and European destinations. The airline has a fleet of 12 E190s with 100-seat capacity and an average age of 15 years. The airline’s services with Embraer aircraft are operated for Finnair by Nordic Regional Airlines.
