Denver Air Connection adds a new Minneapolis/St. Paul connection under EAS program

-

Denver Air Connection has announced the opening of its seventeenth route, connecting Minneapolis/St Paul and Pierre, South Dakota. This new destination is part of the communities under the «Essential Air Services» program, in which the airline operates.

This small airline, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, has been serving the city of Pierre since SkyWest abandoned the route. On July 1, 2021, Denver Air Connection initiated the Denver (DEN)-Pierre (PIR) route. Additionally, the airline offers services to another South Dakota city, Watertown (ART), connecting this locality with its bases in Denver (DEN) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD).

The new route is set to commence operations starting on November 30, with an initial schedule that includes two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays. The service will be carried out using Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft, capable of accommodating 50 passengers.

The new route’s schedules allow customers to fly between Denver (DEN) and Minneapolis (MSP) with a layover in Pierre, although connections in the opposite direction (MSP-DEN) are not currently planned.
