Copa Airlines opens flights to Barquisimeto, Venezuela

-

On October 17 Copa Airlines inaugurated a new non-stop service between Panama-Tocumen and Barquisimeto, connecting for the first time with the west-central region of the country. The Panamanian airline is the second airline to offer international flights at Jacinto Lara International Airport.

Flight CM 730 was operated in a Boeing 737-700 registered as HP-1530CMP. The aircraft took off from Tocumen International Airport at 09:35 local time and landed at Jacinto Lara International Airport at 12:12, after one hour and 37 minutes.

We remain committed to strengthening our presence in Venezuela and offering you more connection options with the American continent. Connectivity is key to the economic and social development of all the destinations where we operate, and to achieve this we always work hand in hand with the authorities and tourism associations, our main allies to achieve our mission of uniting the Americas,” said Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.

Currently, Copa offers 13,666 weekly seats between Panama and Venezuela. In addition to its operations to the capital city of Lara, the airline’s schedule also includes 24 weekly flights to Caracas, daily flights to Valencia, five weekly flights to Maracaibo and three weekly flights to Barcelona.
