Norse Atlantic UK launched flights to Boston

Norse Atlantic UK continues to expand its transatlantic network with the start of non-stop flights between London-Gatwick and Boston, the route began on September 2. This new service becomes the airline’s seventh U.S. destination and the fourth route inaugurated from the London capital.

Flight Z0 750 was operated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner registered G-CKWD and christened «Rago». The aircraft took off from Gatwick Airport (LGW) at 15:21 local time and landed at Logan International Airport (BOS) at 16:58, after 6 hours and 37 minutes.

I am delighted to be a part of this journey, and our passengers are looking forward to having an additional option to explore London via your services,» said Matthew Hatfield, Director of Air Route Development for the Massachusetts Port Authority.

Norse Atlantic will have 34 weekly flights and an offer of 22,984 seats per week between the U.S. and U.K., this represents a 385% increase in capacity compared to last year’s levels. The airline’s U.S. network offers destinations to New York, Orlando, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington-Dulles, Fort Lauderdale (to be replaced by Miami) and now Boston.

Flight schedule between Gatwick and Boston

  • London/Gatwick – Boston Flight Z0 750 LGW 15:00 – BOS 17:00 Monday, Wednesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
  • Boston – London/Gatwick Flight Z0 751 BOS 21:00 – LGW 08:45+1 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Route details

  • The service operates seasonally and will be available until the end of October.
  • The route resumes for the 2024 summer season with daily flights.

The route is operated on Boeing 787-9 aircraft with a capacity of 338 seats in two classes (56 Premium Economy/282 Economy) and promotional fares are available from $292 roundtrip.

According to data compiled by Aviacionline through UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), 1,191,263 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between London and Boston, the capital of Massachusetts is the sixth largest U.S. market in the UK after New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco. Norse Atlantic currently competes in this segment with American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines (canceling service for the winter), British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and JetBlue.
