Flights Between Argentina and Florianopolis Reach a 5-year High

The “Hercílio Luz” International Airport of Florianópolis (FLN) is gearing up for one of the best summer seasons in terms of connectivity with Argentina, with between 4 and 7 daily flights.

Aerolíneas Argentinas, Flybondi, GOL, and jetSMART will be the ones flying to Florianópolis from Ezeiza and Aeroparque, in Buenos Aires, as well as Córdoba and Rosario, offering more than 210,000 seats between December and March.

“The Florianópolis airport is the gateway to Santa Catarina and has a unique infrastructure to receive international flights, which reinforces our focus on the internationalization of the airport, which is increasingly becoming a hub in the Southern Cone. And that’s not all, we will soon announce new destinations for South America,” said Fábio Marques, Director of Operations for Zurich Airport Brasil, the concessionaire of Florianópolis.

GOL will be responsible for 48% of the seats offered, followed by Flybondi with 28%, Aerolíneas Argentinas with 14%, and jetSMART with 11%.

After the high season, three of these companies will continue operating flights throughout the year from Buenos Aires, totaling up to thirteen weekly frequencies. GOL will lead with 7 weekly flights, followed by Flybondi and jetSMART with 3 each.

The variety of frequencies and airlines allows for very competitive and dynamic prices ranging between USD 316 and USD 544 (official dollar) for a round trip.

According to the Cirium platform, Florianópolis (FLN) hadn’t had a similar flight offer with Argentina since the summer season of 2018/19, when there were between 5 and 6 daily flights each way.
