Air France-KLM and Airbus Forge Joint Venture to Enhance Airbus A350 Maintenance Services Worldwide

Air France-KLM and Airbus have entered into exclusive negotiations to form a joint venture focused on offering Airbus A350 component maintenance services worldwide. This includes aspects like supply chain management, repairs, and creating a global pool of aircraft components.

Envisaged Cooperation

The proposed collaboration will be a 50-50 joint venture between Air France and Airbus, facilitating the transfer of aircraft components assets from both partners into a shared pool to enhance the capacity and global footprint of Airbus A350 fleet maintenance.

Combining the prowess of Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance and Airbus, the joint venture aims to meet the rising long-term maintenance demands of the global Airbus A350 fleet (currently numbering over 1,000 orders and 550 active service units worldwide) with innovative solutions, benefitting customers immensely.

The collaboration plans to be operational by the first half of 2024, adhering to all compliance requirements and pending approval from relevant authorities.
