Mexico: Viva Aerobus launches flights between Mérida and Puebla

Viva Aerobus announced the connection between Mérida (MID) and Puebla (PBC) starting October 2 with three weekly flights, at a fare of 588 Mexican pesos (USD 34) for a round trip plus TUA.

“We have worked in a coordinated manner in Yucatán to be better connected, increasing the number of routes, resulting in a higher number of visitors to our state and better benefits for the sector and the Yucatecans,” Michelle Fridman, head of Sefotur Yucatán.

Begins October 2

  • Mérida-Puebla flight VB 9254 MID 12:45 – 14:40 PBC / Monday and Friday.
  • Mérida-Puebla flight VB 9254 MID 16:25 – 18:20 PBC / Wednesday.
  • Puebla-Mérida flight VB 9255 PBC 15:35 – 17:20 MID / Monday and Friday.
  • Puebla-Mérida flight VB 9255 PBC 19:00 – 20:45 MID / Wednesday.

For Viva Aerobus, this is the fifth destination in Puebla (PBC), as it also flies to Cancún (CUN), Guadalajara (GDL), Monterrey (MTY), and, starting October 20, Tijuana (TIJ).

Viva Aerobus continues to mark its presence in Mérida, reaching 14 national and international destinations. According to Cirium, the low-cost carrier holds a market share of 44.1% in seat offerings as of November.

Viva Aerobus operates from Mérida to Mexico City (MEX), Guadalajara (GDL), Leon/Guanajuato (BJX), Monterrey (MTY), Querétaro (QRO), Tuxtla Gutierrez (TGZ), Toluca (TLC), Veracruz (VER), and Villahermosa (VSA), Mexico; Camaguey (CMW), Havana (HAV), and Santa Clara (SNU) in Cuba.
