LATAM was the world’s most punctual airline in July and Copa in Latin America

According to the latest flight punctuality data presented by aviation market intelligence company Cirium, the monthly «On-Time Performance» report for July 2023, LATAM Airlines was the most punctual global airline in the world.

Cirium divides the punctuality rankings into three groups: one that takes into account only airlines classified as global; one of all airlines in each of the world’s five major regions; and one that takes into account only low-cost carriers worldwide.

Among the global airlines, LATAM took the lead in July by swapping places with Avianca, with an 85.30% on-time performance compared to 84.67%. Rounding out the list of the 5 most punctual airlines are Saudia, with 83.76%, JAL, with 83.39%, and Qatar Airways, with 82.67%.

In the regional ranking, Copa Airlines led Latin America with 89.74%, followed by Azul Linhas Aéreas with 86.48%. Completing the list of the 5 most punctual in the region are LATAM, with 85.30%, Avianca, with 84.67%, and Aeromexico, with 79.91%.

Finally, the ranking of low-cost airlines worldwide is headed by Japan’s Solaseed Air, with 89.87%, followed by South Africa’s Safair, with 88.32%, Spain’s Iberia Express, with 87.14%, Hong Kong Express, with 86.60%, and Azul, with 86.48%.
