Delta Air Lines Celebrates 25 Years of Operations in Central America

-

Delta Air Lines has celebrated the 25th anniversary of its services to four Central American nations: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Panama. The airline’s flights have connected travelers to tourist and business destinations, thanks to the company’s extensive network of routes and points across the globe.

The company emphasized that throughout its 25 years in Central America, its workers have built strong ties with local communities and suppliers, as travelers continue to discover destinations and the travel and tourism industry grows.

«In addition to providing excellent service to our customers, Delta’s staff in Central America have volunteered and supported organizations and causes such as Junior Achievement Americas, Desarrollo en Movimiento Guatemala, and the Carrera del Pacifico in Guanacaste, among others. We look forward to continuing to play a significant role in Central America’s development as a region«, said Agustín Durand, General Sales Manager of Delta for Central America and the Caribbean.

Delta currently schedules 123 weekly flights between the United States and its four main markets in Central America.

Currently, Delta offers services to San José, Costa Rica, and Liberia/Guanacaste from Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Minneapolis/St. Paul in the United States. In total, during the summer season, it will offer 44 flights and 17,094 weekly seats between Costa Rica and the U.S.

Panama

Panama is Delta’s main business destination in Central America. The airline schedules nine weekly flights from Atlanta and Tocumen Airport operated on Boeing 737-900 and 737-800 aircraft.
