Manhuaçu is a municipality in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais. The city, founded in 1877, takes its name from the Tupi language, which means «big river» or «place with a lot of water».

For César Grandolfo, Azul’s Institutional Relations Manager, the new market reinforces the company’s presence in Minas Gerais. «For us it is a joy to strengthen one of the company’s pillars, which is regional aviation, in a state that is so important for the country’s economy and politics,» he says.

Imaculada, mayor of the city of Manhuaçu, highlights the expectations with Azul Conecta flights. «We have a thriving region, with great economic strength. The municipality of Manhuaçu takes off on another expansion project in partnership with Azul Conecta, ensuring the strengthening of regional aviation in Minas Gerais.»
