Azul Cargo inaugurates new cargo terminal at its main base of operations

Azul Cargo inaugurated on Friday (25) the new cargo terminal (TECA) at Viracopos airport, in Campinas, which complements the existing 10,000 square meters. The TECA expansion, which will be used for express cargo, has a total area of 1,680 square meters for the storage and handling of goods.

The new cargo terminal in Campinas aims to serve the main Brazilian e-commerce companies, which are Azul’s customers, through the fast delivery and transportation of different product categories, such as shoes, wines, general electronics, car parts and even pharmaceutical materials.

According to AEROIN, the new terminal will be located in a condominium within the airport precinct, which guarantees more security, infrastructure and agility in the goods transportation process. Azul Cargo transports 10 million kilos of cargo per month in Viracopos and expects a 20% increase in its capacity, mobilizing 58 more trucks per day for deliveries in the city of Sao Paulo and in the interior of the state.
