Record-Breaking Day for Aerolíneas Argentinas as Passenger Numbers Hit All-Time High

Aerolíneas Argentinas reported that on July, 22, it broke its record for passengers transported in a single day, reaching the figure of 45,893 passengers across its domestic and international network.

The previous record was 45,769 passengers, on November 9, 2018, assisted, they detailed, by a union measure that caused the accumulation of flights and passengers from two days of operation in one.

‘This performance is not by chance or a product of randomness: we have been working hard on the growth of the network and the offer. Today we have an airline that flies more, better, and does it more efficiently. This can be seen in the passenger numbers, the number of frequencies, destinations, and in the economic and financial results’, said Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

During the peak of the winter season, between July 13 and 31, the state-owned company projects to transport on average more than 42,000 passengers per day, totaling 800,000 in the two weeks in which most of the provinces are on school recess, a period in which Aerolíneas Argentinas expanded its seat offer by 16% compared to 2019.

This Sunday the 23rd the number of passengers will be around 45,600 averaging a 95% occupancy on the flights.
