Flights to Venezuela: Sky High opens new flight to Valencia

Sky High expands its operations in South America with the launch of a new destination to Venezuela flying between Santo Domingo and Valencia starting in August. The Dominican airline is the second foreign carrier to offer non-stop flights to Arturo Michelena International Airport.

This new route will complement the existing service between Las Americas Airport and Caracas that the company has in its current schedule. In total, Sky High will offer 1,752 weekly seats between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela starting in August.

According to information compiled by Aviacionline through the statistics of The Aviation Board (JAC), 14,970 passengers were mobilized between Dominican Republic and Valencia in 2022, it was the eighth most important South American destination in the Caribbean nation. In addition, Sky High will compete in this segment with Turpial Airlines, which currently offers flights from the Carabobo capital to Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.

Starts on August 13.

  • Santo Domingo – Valencia Flight DO 720 SDQ 11:00 – VLN 12:30 Thursday and Sunday.
  • Valencia – Santo Domingo Flight DO 721 VLN 14:00 – SDQ 15:30 Thursday and Sunday.

The route will be operated in Embraer 190 aircraft with a capacity of 97 seats in two classes (9 Business Class/88 Economy) and promotional fares are available from USD 177 each way. This new service will provide convenient connections to several destinations in the airline’s network.

For this summer season, Sky High has scheduled service to Anguilla, Martinique, Antigua, Miami, Aruba, Santo Domingo, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Tortola, St. Kitts, Curacao, Santiago de Cuba, Guadeloupe, Caracas, Havana, Valencia, Providence and St. Thomas.

Regular flights:

  • Copa Airlines: Panama – Tocumen (daily flights).
  • Turpial Airlines: Santo Domingo (Mondays and Fridays).
  • Turpial Airlines: Punta Cana (Thursday and Sunday).
  • Turpial Airlines: Panama – Tocumen (Sunday).
  • Sky High: Santo Domingo (Thursday and Sunday).

Charter flights:

  • Turpial Airlines: Santiago de Cuba (Tuesday).
