Alaska Airlines expands California network with new service between Burbank and San Francisco

-

Alaska Airlines continues to expand its network with more new routes, for this winter season it will begin nonstop service between Burbank and San Francisco. This new connection will be available year-round and will complement operations from Boise, Portland, Santa Rosa and Seattle – Tacoma. It also solidifies the airline’s position as the carrier with the most nonstop destinations on the U.S. West Coast.

This summer, Alaska announced a major expansion of its international network, including new international destinations to Mexico, the Bahamas and Guatemala. More than half of the airline’s 15 new services will depart from airports in California. All routes, including Burbank to San Francisco, will begin by the winter vacations.

«As the only airline based on the West Coast, we are focused on growing a stronger network for our California customers, in and out of California. We’re thrilled to offer people more ways to connect nonstop between Southern and Northern California with the launch of Burbank to SFO, a route we’ve never flown before«, said Neil Thwaites, Alaska Airlines regional vice president, California.
