World2Fly starts flights to Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic

World2Fly expands its Caribbean operations with the start of a third destination in the Dominican Republic to Santiago de los Caballeros operated from Madrid. The World2Meet airline is the only airline to offer long-haul flights during the high season at the Cibao airport.

The inaugural ceremony of the new route was attended by Bruno Claeys, CEO of World2Fly; Teofilo Gomez, General Administrator of Cibao Airport; Katya Taneva, Director of World2Meet; Tony Yaport, president of the Airport Association and member of the Civil Aviation Board of the Dominican Republic; Jose Clase, Advisor of the Cibao International Airport Administration; Loida Diaz, director of Global Airlines Representation in the Dominican Republic and other personalities.

Flight 2W 3319 boarded 413 passengers and 10 crew members with an occupancy factor of 95% and was operated in an Airbus A350 registered as EC-NZF. The aircraft took off from Adolfo Suarez Airport (MAD) at 17:46 local time and landed at Cibao International Airport (STI) at 20:00, after eight hours and 14 minutes.

World2Fly’s schedule in Santiago de los Caballeros

  • Madrid – Santiago de los Caballeros Flight 2W 3319 MAD 15:55 – STI 18:45 Wednesday.
  • Santiago de los Caballeros – Santo Domingo Flight 2W 3319 STI 20:15 – SDQ 21:00 Wednesday.
  • Santo Domingo – Madrid Flight 2W 3319 SDQ 23:00 – MAD 13:30+1 Wednesday.

The route is operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft with a capacity of 432 passengers in a single economy class configuration and promotional fares are available from 350 EUR one way.

According to data obtained by Aviacionline from Civil Aviation Board (JAC) statistics, the World2Meet airline carried 163,998 passengers between Europe and the Dominican Republic in 2022.

In addition to its operations to Santiago de los Caballeros, World2Fly also offers year-round service to Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, and will soon begin non-stop flights to Samaná, making the leisure airline the only long-haul carrier to fly to four destinations in the Dominican Republic.
