TEI and GE Aerospace Extend License for F110 Engine Maintenance Services

PARIS- TUSAS Engine Industries Inc. (TEI) and GE Aerospace have agreed to extend TEI’s license to provide F110 Depot Level Maintenance services for several countries operating F-16 & F-15 fighter aircraft. This move promises to reinforce the already robust partnership between the two companies.

TEI has spent years providing support to the Turkish defense industry, in collaboration with GE. As part of GE’s supplier network, TEI is now a recognized regional F110 Depot. The company’s proven track record in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services and Engine Structural Integrity Programs makes it an ideal partner for this initiative.

TEI, under the leadership of General Manager Prof. Mahmut Faruk Aksit, has expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. The company looks forward to playing an integral role in the F110 MRO supplier network, while also eagerly anticipating the opportunity to work closely with GE. With the goal to provide best-in-class service for F110 engines, TEI is committed to maintaining its high quality standards, competitive prices, and rapid turn-around times.

«We have successfully carried out F110 engine production for the entire F-16 Aircraft fleet of the Turkish Air Force and worked with multiple countries in the region for F110 Engine MRO,» Aksit added. «This positions us as the ideal partner for GE Aerospace in its global F110 Engine MRO campaigns.»

From GE’s perspective, the partnership with TEI continues to be beneficial. «TEI’s strong reputation as an MRO service provider for our F110 customers globally makes them an invaluable partner,» said Shawn Warren, vice president and general manager, Combat and Trainer Engines, Military Systems at GE Aerospace. «This agreement will enhance support and services for our international F110 operators in the region.»

Apart from being one of the largest producers of parts for F110 engines, TEI also holds licenses for MRO facilities in multiple countries for GE’s T700 used in various helicopters, and GE’s F110 engine, used in F16 and F15 fighter aircrafts and GE’s LM2500 gas turbines, used in numerous frigates and fleet oil replenishment vessels.
