Paris Air Show: Binter orders six additional Embraer E195-E2

Aiming to boost its international expansion, Binter confirmed an order for six Embraer E195-E2, a model that has been key in launching new point-to-point routes between the Canary Islands and the European continent.

The new order, valued at USD 504.7 million at list prices, will begin to be delivered during the second half of 2024 and will be registered in Embraer’s backlog once contractual contingencies are closed.

Currently, Binter operates 5 Embraer E195-E2 with a 132-seat configuration in a single class. In addition to the aircraft from the deal announced today, the Canarian airline still has to receive another 7 E2s, which will bring its total fleet of this model to 16 aircraft.

«The E2 has been a game changer for Binter. Our guests love the aircraft, especially how quiet it is. Performance in terms of Fuel burn and maintenance has also been better than advertised. As we continue to grow, the E2 has proved to be the perfect aircraft to lead our continued growth,» said Rodolfo Nuñez, President of Binter.

Martyn Holmes, CCO of Embraer Commercial Aviation, said that «The best orders are repeat orders, and this is the fourth E2 order from Binter. Embraer thanks Binter for their partnership and congratulates the airline on their continued success».

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Binter’s Embraer E195-E2s already represent 13% of the airline’s seat supply, a figure that rises to 42.2% in ASK (available seat kilometers) considering that they operate the longest routes, as can be seen in this map:
