Frontier Airlines launches two new routes from Cleveland

On June 8, Frontier Airlines expanded Cleveland’s connectivity to California with the launch of a nonstop flight to San Diego. In addition, the airline also has a scheduled route to San Francisco, with promotional fares for these new services starting at $119 each way.

Flight F9 2427 was operated on a one-month-old Airbus A321neo registered as N620FR and christened «Tico the Two-Toed Sloth». The aircraft took off from Hopkins International Airport (CLE) at 17:59 local time and landed at San Diego Airport (SAN) at 19:17, after four hours and 18 minutes.

With the start of the new services, the low-cost carrier will offer 50,636 weekly seats to and from Cleveland to 18 nonstop destinations in 250 operations. Frontier also currently offers the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Fall & Winter Pass™ for a promotional price of $299. The fall and winter pass allows access to unlimited flights from September 2023 through February 2024, terms and conditions apply.

  • Flight F9 2426 SAN 07:57 – CLE 15:27 Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

The route is operated by Airbus A320neo aircraft with a seating capacity of 186.

Flight schedule between Cleveland (CLE) and San Francisco (SFO)

Starts June 21, 2023.

  • Flight F9 2439 CLE 08:47 – SFO 10:58 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
  • Flight F9 2451 SFO 11:50 – CLE 19:32 Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The service will be operated by Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft with a capacity of 186 and 230 passengers respectively. The low cost airline will compete in this segment with United Airlines, which offers two daily flights operated by Boeing 737.

Frontier’s network of Cleveland destinations includes nonstop service to Atlanta, Charlotte, Cancun, Denver, Dallas/Fort Worth, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix – Sky Harbor, Punta Cana, Raleigh/Durham, Fort Myers, San Diego, San Francisco, San Francisco, San Juan and Tampa.
