Collins Aerospace presents Aurora, a Business Class suite for single-aisle aircraft

During the 2023 Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg, Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, unveiled the new Aurora suite, a concept designed for single-aisle aircraft business classes. The company plans to begin delivering the first units in 2024.

According to a press release, the Aurora suite will «optimize occupied footprint, functionality and service».

The developer stated that the infrastructure can be custom-fitted into narrow-body aircraft cabins, maximizing density. Its integrated design, an increasingly popular trend in the industry, will provide passengers with a greater sense of privacy and optimize storage space.

The company also emphasized that the suite’s features will improve the working and resting space for crews.

The seat width has been maximized in the new design, offering customers more space compared to similar products already in service. The seats will be fully convertible into horizontal beds, measuring 78 inches in length.

Additionally, the suite will include adjustable partition panels to enhance privacy. Furthermore, the company will offer a range of finish and upholstery options, allowing each operator to make their own choices.
