Azul ceases flights between Florianopolis and Montevideo

At the end of 2022, Azul announced the start of regular flights between Florianopolis and Montevideo throughout the year. However, plans changed and the company decided to suspend the service, as reported by AEROIN.

The route was operated with new generation Embraer E2 jets, with 136 seats and amenities such as live SKY TV.

An investigation made on Azul’s website reveals that, as of December, there are no direct flights between the two cities available for booking. Alternatives require a connection, the fastest being a stopover in Porto Alegre.
