United Airlines begins to offer its Premium Plus cabin on all its flights to Brazil.

United Airlines is introducing the Premium Plus economy cabin on all its flights operated between Brazil and the United States.

Currently, this service is available on round-trip flights from São Paulo/Guarulhos to New York/Newark, Houston, and Chicago. Starting July 1, it will be available on the route from Rio de Janeiro/Galeão to Houston and, from August 1, on flights from the capital of São Paulo to Washington D.C., according to a report from our affiliated media in Brazil, Aeroin.

Premium Plus is a cabin class that lies between the Polaris Business Class and Economy. The seats are located closer to the front of the airplane and offer more legroom, elbow room, and recline space, in addition to a footrest. Each seat includes an individual electrical outlet, USB charger, and an exclusive luggage compartment for the cabin.

According to Jacqueline Conrado, manager of United Airlines in Brazil, this new feature will enhance the passenger’s travel experience, which seeks comfort and convenience. «With the increasing demand for flights to the United States, we’ve also noticed that customers are asking for more comfort and convenience, but without spending much more, as in a business class,» she says.

Among the amenities offered are priority boarding and free luggage check-in. Each seat is equipped with noise-canceling headphones, an Away amenity kit, and a blanket and pillow from the famous brand Saks Fifth Avenue. During the flight, passengers can enjoy alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as an exclusive onboard service, with a menu of snacks, starter, two main course options, and dessert.

For entertainment, there’s a larger screen, up to 13 inches, on the backrest of the front seat, to watch the latest movie and TV show releases. Once the advanced on-demand entertainment system is activated, passengers can start, pause, rewind, and fast forward the programming whenever they want. Additionally, it’s possible to control the programs through intuitive and easy-to-use touch screens. Another convenience is United Private Screening, where United customers can check the entertainment options available before the flight.
