#TBT: Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) flights to South America in 1987

Scandinavian Airlines System, also known as SAS, operated flights between Denmark and South America with McDonnell Douglas DC-10 aircraft in 1987. Operations were from Copenhagen to Rio de Janeiro, with connections to Argentina, Chile and Uruguay in the South American sector, and to Norway and Sweden considering the Baltic region.

The airline definitively suspended operations to South America in the early 1990s, after more than 20 years of uninterrupted service.
