Southwest Airlines Boosts Summer Service to Washington D.C.

Southwest Airlines has announced an expansion of nonstop service to Washington, D.C., offering customers more summer travel options. Two additional nonstop routes will be introduced to Reagan National Airport (DCA) starting July 2023.

Details of New Nonstop Routes

From July 11 to September 4, 2023, Southwest® will offer increased nonstop service between the following destinations:

  • Memphis, Tenn., and Washington, D.C. (DCA) with one daily round trip
  • Albany, N.Y., and Washington, D.C. (DCA) with one daily round trip

Southwest’s Continued Commitment to Customer Service

Southwest’s COO, Andrew Watterson, stated, «The availability of additional slots this summer allows Southwest to enhance competition and convenience, providing superior service by establishing more nonstop connections with Washington, D.C.» He further highlighted the benefits of their all-Boeing 737 fleet, which ensures customers a large-jet service regardless of their destination.

Existing Services from Reagan National

Southwest presently operates up to 45 daily departures from Reagan National to 17 cities across the U.S. Customers can book their flights, along with the airline’s complete schedule through November 4, 2023, at Southwest.com.
