NetJets Secures $5 Billion Deal with Embraer for Up to 250 Praetor 500 Jets

-

NetJets, an American company that sells fractional ownership shares in private business jets, has signed a new deal with Embraer for up to 250 options of Praetor 500 jets, an acquisition valued at over $5 billion. This will be the first time NetJets offers the Praetor 500 to its customers, with deliveries beginning in 2025. For over a decade, NetJets has been operating Embraer’s Phenom 300 series, which has become one of the most successful aircraft in its fleet.

The partnership between Embraer and NetJets began in 2010, when the operator first signed a purchase contract for 50 Phenom 300 aircraft, with up to 75 additional options. In 2021, after delivering more than 100 aircraft, the companies signed a contract for up to 100 additional Phenom 300/E jets, valued at over $1.2 billion.

Enhancing Customer Experience with the Praetor 500

The acquisition of the Praetor 500 underlines NetJets’ commitment to continually enhance its customer experience. The operator carries out an average of 1,200 flights daily worldwide, reinforcing its faith in Embraer’s advanced product portfolio and its exceptional support, which offers the best experience for NetJets’ passengers.

NetJets: Looking Towards the Future with Praetor 500

“We are eager to add the Embraer Praetor 500 to our midsize fleet. This is one of the most modern executive jets available today,” said Doug Henneberry, executive vice president of aircraft asset management at NetJets.

Revolutionary and Technologically Advanced

The Praetor 500 is the most revolutionary and technologically advanced midsize executive jet in the world, offering unparalleled runway performance. In terms of technology, it is the only aircraft in its class with complete fly-by-wire flight controls.

Not only does the Praetor 500 offer exceptional performance, but it also provides the most comfortable cabin experience in its category. It has the lowest cabin altitude in its class and offers ample baggage space, including the largest internal luggage compartment among midsize jets.
