Lufthansa Boosts Network Expansion in India with Flights to Hyderabad

Lufthansa continues to expand its network in India with a new non-stop connection between Frankfurt and Hyderabad next year. The carrier’s last service on this route was on October 30, 2011 on a three-flight-per-week service operated on Airbus A340-300s.

With the German airline’s new flight, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport will have a second European service to complement British Airways’ daily operations from London – Heathrow. This direct route from Germany will provide a direct connection to India’s pharmaceutical and technology industries, in addition to connections to Europe and North America.

Lufthansa will have a winter season offer of 30,136 seats per week between Germany and India for the 2023/2024 northern winter season. The German carrier is the second largest airline operator in terms of seats per kilometers (ASK) offered in the market between Europe and India according to Cirium.

Lufthansa Flight Schedule to Hyderabad

Starts January 16, 2024.

  • Frankfurt – Hyderabad Flight LH 752 FRA 10:00 – HYD 23:00 Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Hyderabad – Frankfurt Flight LH 753 HYD 01:00 – FRA 06:10 Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

The route will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a capacity of 294 seats in three classes (26 Business Class/21 Premium Economy/247 Economy) and promotional fares are available from EUR 1,000 round trip.

In the period April 2022 to March 2023, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport handled 17.6 million domestic passengers and 3.4 million international passengers, representing a 97% recovery from pre-pandemic levels.

Munich

  • Delhi: daily flights on Airbus A350-900.
  • Mumbai: daily flights on Airbus A350-900.
  • Bangalore: three times a week on Airbus A350-900.
