Frontier Airlines Expands Operations: New Routes and Summer Pass Offering from Atlanta

This week marks a significant expansion for Frontier Airlines as it launches operations on five new routes from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL). These routes connect Atlanta to three domestic and two international destinations, further extending Frontier’s service network.

One of Frontier’s first services, Flight F9 30, operated an Airbus A320neo with registration N332FR. It took off from Hartsfield – Jackson International Airport (ATL) at 07:32 local time and landed at Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) after a journey of two hours and 49 minutes.

Frontier’s Growing International Network

Frontier Airlines has an expanding international network with nonstop flights to destinations such as Cancun, Guatemala City, Kingston, Liberia/Guanacaste, Montego Bay, Nassau, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, and San Jose, Costa Rica.

Frontier’s Position in Atlanta

By the 2023 summer season, Frontier, the low-cost carrier, will offer a capacity of 96,266 weekly seats at Atlanta (ATL) on 491 operations, according to data from Cirium. Currently, Frontier holds the position of the third-largest airline operator at Hartsfield – Jackson International Airport (ATL), in terms of Available Seat Kilometers (ASK), trailing only Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines.

New Frontier Routes from Atlanta

  • Ontario, California (ONT): Daily flights, promotional fares from $59.
  • Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ): Twice-weekly flights (Thursday and Sunday), promotional fares from $79.
  • San Diego, California (SAN): Daily flights, promotional fares from $59.
  • Salt Lake City, Utah (SLC): Three weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), promotional fares from $59.
  • Guatemala City (GUA): Two weekly flights (Monday, Friday), promotional fares from $99.

Alongside the expanded routes, Frontier has introduced the GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Summer Pass™ for Atlanta customers, priced at $499, providing an added incentive for frequent travelers.
