Tecnam announces delivery of the first batch of Traveller P2012 aircraft to Pacific Air Charters: this airline will expand its services in Samoa under the brand name «Pago Wings,» a company based in Hawaii since 2003. The delivery follows the signing of an order for two units with options to purchase twenty three additional aircraft.

At the start of the EBACE trade show, Tecnam agreed to deliver the first P2012 Traveller to Pacific Air Charters. The aircraft was designed for small markets and short-distance flights, similar to those operated by the airline in Hawaii and Samoa.

Marshall Ashley, CEO of Pacific Air Charters, said, «We believe the Tecnam Traveller is a superior aircraft specifically designed for markets like American Samoa. These aircraft are brand new, comfortable, safe, and reliable. We are eager to make them available to domestic travelers in American Samoa.»

The P2012 Traveller, which can accommodate nine passengers and features the Single Pilot Advanced Cockpit Environment system, is a state-of-the-art high-wing twin-piston engine aircraft. The power plant consists of two 750 horsepower Lycoming engines with four-blade propellers. It has an operating weight of 2,386 kilograms and a maximum range of 1,760 kilometers.

«Tecnam is proud to partner with Pacific Air Charters to provide ‘best-in-class’ passenger experience for Pago Wings flights in American Samoa. The mission profile, regional topography, and geographical location make the Traveller the ideal choice to enhance safety and comfort in water connections between islands and atolls with small airstrips. Passengers will enjoy superior cabin comfort, unbeatable views from all seats, and onboard amenities such as air conditioning,» said Francesco Sferra, P2012 – Special Mission Platform Sales and Business Development Manager and Test Pilot.
