On May 12, German leisure airline, Condor, broadened its Mediterranean reach with the reintroduction of its flights to Antalya, Turkey (AYT) from five German cities. This marks the airline’s return to the renowned Turkish Riviera city after a pause since March 22, 2020.
The inaugural service, flight DE 202, was operated on an Airbus A320 bearing the registration LY-HMD. It departed from Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS) at 06:36 local time and touched down at Antalya Airport (AYT) at 10:58, after a duration of three hours and 22 minutes. Following this, flights from Hamburg (DE 154) and Frankfurt (DE 142) were also launched on the same day. The final routes to be resumed were from Leipzig (LEJ) and Munich (MUC).
In the Antalya (AYT) – Germany route, Condor is set to vie with several other airlines including Anadolujet, Corendon Airlines, Eurowings, Eurowings Discover, Freebird, Pegasus Airlines, SunExpress, and Turkish Airlines. Turkey’s beach destinations remain a favored choice for German tourists during the holiday season.
Condor’s 2023 Schedule for Antalya
According to data sourced from Cirium, Condor plans to provide 11,700 weekly seats to Antalya (AYT) during the northern summer of 2023. The schedules include:
- Dusseldorf (DUS): Six weekly flights operated by Boeing 757-300 and Airbus A320.
- Frankfurt (FRA): Daily flights operated on Boeing 757-300, Airbus A320, and A321.
- Hamburg (HAM): Daily flights operated on Airbus A320.
- Leipzig (LEJ): Three times a week, operated on Airbus A320.
- Munich (MUC): Three times a week, operated on Airbus A320.
Additionally, promotional fares are available starting from EUR 158 one way.
