Two drones attacked the presidential residence in the Kremlin where the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, lives. The drones were neutralized by Russian defenses.
During the night of Wednesday, May 3, a pair of unmanned aerial vehicles of unknown origin, crashed into the presidential residence where Vladimir Putin is living. They were destroyed by the Kremlin’s defenses. The presidential press service reported that no one was injured, and blamed Ukraine for the attempt on the life of the Russian president.

“Tonight, the Kiev regime attempted to attack with unmanned aerial vehicles the residence of the President of the Russian Federation in the Kremlin,” the statement of the presidential press service stated.
According to the report, published by Russian media, “Two unmanned aerial vehicles targeted the Kremlin. As a result of timely actions taken by military and special services using radar systems, the devices were knocked out of service. As a result of their fall and scattering of fragments on the territory of the Kremlin, there were no casualties or material damage.”
Moscow considers the attack as “a planned terrorist act and an attempt on the life of the President of the Russian Federation” and reserves the right “to take retaliatory measures where and when it deems appropriate“.

This attack was carried out on the eve of Victory Day, which will be marked by a military parade on May 9, at which foreign guests are also expected to attend.
Although the attack had no major consequences for the Kremlin, it does serve to demonstrate that Moscow is not exempt from the dangers of war.
